Annotation

"The Angel trademark was first used in 1897 by The Gramophone Co. Ltd. (UK). It was used until 1909 when it was replaced by the His Master's Voice trademark. The Angel trademark was later reborn as an imprint under Electric & Musical Industries Ltd., which resulted out of a merge between The Gramophone Co. Ltd. and The Columbia Graphophone Company Ltd." – discogs

this is a terribly confusing label to identify. there are several logo variations, which may or may not be the same imprint:
1. the "EMI" name above an angel sitting on a disc, the logo as seen on the back cover and medium here.
2. the "EMI" name above an angel sitting on a disc, with the word "Angel" below (which probably best describes EMI Angel)
3. the "EMI" name above an angel sitting on a disc, with the word "DIGITAL" below
4. the "EMI" name above an angel sitting on a disc, with the words "Angel" and "DIGITAL" below – bottom image here (under Angel Records)
