注释
The modern performances of this opera (aka "Le siège de Corinthe") began in 1949 with a production starring Renata Tebaldi in Florence, and again in Rome (1951). The version used by "Beverly Sills in her La Scala debut came to be known as the "La Scala" version. It was also used for Sills' 1974 studio recording with Shirley Verrett.; Sills' Metropolitan Debut in 1975; and her "live" performance on January 17, 1976 at the Met. The Sills/Schippers performances are a mixed version of Rossini's 1820 "Maometto II," and his 1826 "L'assedio di Corinto." Furthermore, this was a "performing edition by noted musicologist Randolph Mickelson"and by Thomas Schippers.
