This release was limited to 5000 copies. It came packaged in a box shaped like a safe, with the CDs encased in a book detailing the stories behind each recording. Also in the box were a figurine of Gene Simmons out of KISS regalia, a gold coin reading “In Gene We Trust”, a scarf and a random piece of KISS memorabilia hand‐selected by Gene Simmons.
In order to obtain this release, customers had to purchase an Experience package at the end of which Gene Simmons himself hand‐delivered the release to them. There were three tiers:
• The Vault Experience, in which customers purchased a ticket to a special meet‐and‐greet event in one of several cities around the world at the end of which they would receive the Vault.
• The Producer Experience, in which the purchaser would join Gene Simmons in a studio and contribute suggestions for the final product. They could then pick up their Vault at one of the Vault Experience dates or have it delivered to their homes. Producer Experience purchasers’ names would be listed as executive producers on the final product.
• The Home Experience, in which Gene Simmons would show up at the purchaser’s home at a pre–scheduled time and hang out with him/her and up to 24 guests for 2 hours.
