2000-11-03: The Vic Theatre, Chicago, IL, USA
~ Release by Elliott Smith (see all versions of this release, 1 available)
Annotation
Original recording by Derek See (Thanks!)
Taping position: center of first elevation on main floor
Audience recording>MD recorder> digital optical cable> Phillips standalone burner (result: digital master clone)>EAC (no errors)>normalized, retracked (gaps eliminated) and EQ'd (reduced bass) in Adobe Audition 1.5> coded to FLAC level 6 using Trader’s Little Helper (aligned on sector boundaries)
This is the fourth in a series of recordings I am helping circulate I don’t know if this one has circulated or not, possibly there is an inferior version out there already with skips in it and a much lower overall volume. But if there is a different recording out there, I would still like to get hold of it so maybe the two can be matrixed.
By November 2000, Elliott and band had a lot of shows under their belts and were really tight. At one point Elliott says that his backing band is the group Granddaddy.
