Ugetsu (Distinct from the similar releases on OJC, Fantasy and Riverside releases. This is the 20bit K2. Based on Cat. No. 9464)

~ Release by Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers (see all versions of this release, 7 available)

Annotation

Overall, the group is precise, expressive, and swinging hard, delivering its message from the grandest platform of the time. The first six of these songs were released as the original album in 1963 on Riverside. In the late 80's the album was re-released with the additional 3. Finally in 2011 there was a final release with 4 more songs. This particular release is the 20 bit K2 remastering done by Fantasy it has a completely different release number than any of the OJC or other Riverside releases and is its own entity.
