Blue Train (includes 'Lush Life' LP as bonus tracks)

~ Release by John Coltrane (see all versions of this release, 51 available)

Annotation

Presented here is John Coltrane’s complete 1957 album Blue Train (Blue Note BST1577), which was also the first on which the saxophonist was given the opportunity to select his own sidemen for a date. When asked in a 1960 radio interview which was his favorite of all the albums he recorded up to that point, Coltrane was quick to reply: Blue Train. The classic album Lush Life (Prestige 7188) has been added in its entirety as a bonus.
