The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars (♣ fixed 30th anniversary edition)

~ Release by David Bowie (see all versions of this release, 60 available)

Annotation

This is the only 30th anniversary edition that has fixed stereo channels.

Here is the list of the fixes

* reversed stereo channels restored
* opening piano note of Lady Stardust made stronger
* « one, two » opening count of Hang On to Yourself restored
* ending guitar lick of Ziggy Stardust restored

Apparently still, the sound quality might still be inferior to other editions, having less trebble and more bass, in a not so pleasing result (40th anniversary release has better result with the same intent to emphasize bass, IMO).

The Japanese market noticed the inverted stereo channels and other flaws, so the failure release was quickly withdrawn (during release month, 2002-07).
This fixed version is said to have been (re-)released 2002.8.30.*
This fixed version’s obi’s spine shows a ♣ (leaf symbol) above price, which the flawed edition didn’t have.

The other editions worldwide have not been recalled for fix.
(*) This reference though it makes a mistake on the original release date.
