Fundamental Records head Alek Stark traverses the stars for some astral electro with Blueshifted People, new on CPU.
Not content with running one of the greatest boutique labels around for electro with his Fundamental imprint (from Cygnus to the mammoth 12 record DMX Krew boxset) Alek Stark is also a dab hand at producing when he is in the lab.
Blueshifted People takes in the sort of classic sky facing electro of E.R.P. or Gerald Donnald's very best, yet crosses with influence from the EDMX school of bass. 'IC 3258' and 'RMB 56' offer up two sides of alone in space melancholy, while 'GC 4406', 'NGC 4569' and 'NGC 4192' reference the sort of post-genre footwork resembling bounds of Rian Treanor or Second Woman.
Stellar stuff.
