Annotation

UK‐only release, issued to promote Springsteen’s first full‐scale tour of Britain. Comes in a unique black‐and‐white paper picture sleeve listing UK tour dates on rear. Original copies featured misspellings of “East Street Band” and “East Street Shuffle” on the rear sleeve. These misspellings were corrected in later copies. Some copies were issued in a die‐cut CBS company sleeve and used for export.

“timtom” on the runout groove of side 1 indicates that the lacquer for side 1 was cut by Tim Young, a British mastering and cutting engineer.
