40th Anniversary Collector's Edition

~ Release by Carpenters (see all versions of this release, 1 available)

Annotation

Individually numbered box set containing all of the Carpenters studio albums in their original mixes (except "Christmas Portrait" which is the 1996 remixed version from Carpenters - Christmas Collection), the compilation album "Sweet Sixteen" and the DVD "Gold".
The regular studio albums (Discs 1 through 11) are the "Remastered Classics" editions from 1998.
All CDs in this set are SHM-CDs.

Each album comes in a hardcover book with a mini-LP replica card sleeve bound into the book. These card sleeves house the discs which are protected by plastic inserts. The extensive booklets feature introductions by Richard for each album (in English and Japanese), credits, lyrics (in English and Japanese) and photographs with captions provided by Richard.

The liner notes from "Sweet Sixteen" incorrectly list "Please Mr. Postman" as being the 1991 remix, but it is the single mix.
