Annotation

Speranța Moraru is a classical composer and pianist, celebrated for her emotive solo piano compositions. Her name, “Speranța,” means Hope.

She began her professional piano studies at a conservatoire at eight and started composing at nine. Frederic Chopin’s Nocturnes deeply influenced her love for music, shaping her melancholic and melodic style.

In 2014, she moved to London, where she continues to develop her musical career. Her first piano singles, "Night and Woe," "Heartbeat of Midnight," "Sound of My Soul," and "Le Vicomte Waltz," were released in April 2020. "Le Vicomte Waltz," her first waltz, was inspired by her visits to the Palace of Vaux-le-Vicomte and the Palace of Fontainebleau in France.

Her album "Night and Woe," released in November 2021, features a collection of deeply emotional and melancholic piano pieces composed at different points in her life. These works resonate with listeners who are drawn to sad and melancholic classical piano music.
